How PNB Green Pin Generates?

If you’ve just got a Punjab National Bank (PNB) debit or credit card, you need to set your PIN (Personal Identification Number) to use it at ATMs or for shopping. PNB Green PIN is the easiest and fastest way to do this. No waiting for a letter, no paperwork, no tension. Let’s see how you can generate your PNB Green PIN in an easy way.

What is PNB Green PIN?

PNB Green PIN is a safe, paperless way to create or reset your debit or credit card PIN.

  • No physical PIN mailer comes to your house.
  • You get an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile.
  • This OTP (or Green PIN) is valid for 72 hours.
  • You use this OTP at an ATM or online to set your own 4-digit PIN.

When do You Use PNB Green PIN?

You need to use the PNB Green PIN in these two cases:

  • When you get a new PNB debit card, after you open an account and receive your debit card, you must set your PIN to use it.
  • When you forget your existing PIN, if you forget your old PIN, you can generate a new one using the Green PIN feature without going to the bank.

How to Generate PNB Green PIN?

You can generate a PNB Green PIN in two cases:

  • When you get a new debit card: When PNB issues a new debit card, the bank automatically sends a Green PIN (OTP) to your registered mobile number. This OTP is valid for 72 hours. You must use it to set your card’s 4-digit PIN. If you miss the 72-hour window, don’t worry. You can request a fresh OTP easily.
  • When you want to reset or duplicate your PIN: If you forget your PIN, you can request a Green PIN (OTP) and set a new one yourself. No need to visit the branch.

How to get the Green PIN (OTP) by SMS?

From your registered mobile, send this SMS: DCPIN 16-digit debit card number.

Send to:

  • 5607040 (if you are in India)
  • 9264092640 (if you are outside India)

Once the bank gets your SMS:

  • They’ll verify your card and mobile number.
  • You’ll get a 6-digit OTP on your mobile.
  • This OTP is valid for 72 hours (3 days).
  • Use this OTP at any PNB ATM or through net banking to set your new PIN.
