Can You Add Two Bank Accounts in Groww?

No, Groww allows only one active bank account at a time. You can change the bank, but you can't keep two linked accounts together. Here are some simple tricks. If you want to use two different bank accounts for different goals:

  • Create another Groww account using your spouse’s, sibling’s, or parent’s PAN
  • Link a different bank account to that account
  • Use one account for long-term investments (like retirement or kids’ education)
  • Use the other for short-term goals (like travel or an emergency fund)

This way, you can manage two bank accounts, just through two different Groww profiles.

Why Add or Change a Bank Account in Groww?

There are many practical reasons why you might want to update your bank details in the Groww app:

  • Your old bank charges high fees (For example, debit charges on every SIP transaction).
  • You opened a new zero-balance account, like Kotak 811, Airtel Payments Bank, or Jupiter, with no minimum balance needed.
  • You moved to a new city (And opened a local HDFC or ICICI branch account).
  • You want to use a different bank for SIPs, maybe your salary account has less balance, and you want SIPs to go from another account.

Changing your bank can help you save money and manage investments more smoothly.

Conclusion

In conclusion, now you know how to add a bank account in the Groww app, with or without UPI, and how to fix common issues. Once added, you can: Start SIPs, Buy mutual funds or stocks, or Withdraw your profits. No tension. Just link your account and start investing smartly.
