  • Compensation Policy: So, in this case of locker theft, fire, or burglary due to the bank's negligence, this SBI is now liable for the compensation up to 100 times the annual locker rent. 
  • Mandatory Locker Agreement: Here, the customer must sign a renewed locker agreement, which is based on the revised terms and conditions.
  • Mandatory Nomination: Well, it is compulsory to register a nominee for locker accounts.

How to Apply for an SBI Locker?

Here are the steps to apply for an SBI locker:

  1. Visit the SBI Locker official website.
  2. Now enter your State, district, and PIN code information.
  3. Check the availability of the locker (by visiting the branch).
  4. Visit the branch with your documents.
  5. Now submit the application form.
  6. So if the locker is available, then SBI will send a letter to your address, and this within 15 days to complete the allotment process. And if lockers are unavailable, you will be placed on a waiting list.
