What is an e-Pan Card?

E-PAN card is an electronic format of  PAN card, it is an electronic form not in physical form.  The e-PAN card is digitally signed and has your name, photography, signature, unique alphanumeric code, and a QR code that contains your biometric and demographic information. Eligibility Criteria to Download e-PAN Card Online

It is necessary to know about which eligibility criteria you have to download an e-PAN Card Online. If you don’t know about this then don’t worry we are here to provide you with such information. And for download first, you have to make your PAN card or have one to download that. So let’s take a look.

  • You can only apply for the e-PAN card if you have selected the option of e-PAN or physical PAN both card and the e-PAN while making your PAN card application.
  • So if you have applied for your PAN card through the NSDL website. So, you can only download your e-PAN from this website.
  • And if you apply for it through the UTIITSL website, you can only download your e-PAN from this website only.
  • So both new applicants, as well as applicants who have applied for the changes or corrections in PAN data, can only download their e-PAN card free of cost three times from the NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) and UTIITSL (UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited) websites within one month of PAN card issuance.  

Documents Required to Apply for e-PAN 

If you are applying for an e-PAN card then it’s necessary to prepare for the mentioned below document for an e-PAN card. Also, remember they charge 50 rupees in NSDL and 107 rupees(for both e-PAN card and physical) in UTIITSL at the time of applying for the PAN card online.

  • First, importantly, you must be an Indian resident.
  • You can’t apply for a PAN card if you already have one.
  • If you want to apply for it, then it is necessary to have an Aadhaar card
  • An Aadhaar card which is directly linked to your mobile number, or an updated and valid Aadhar card for the KYC detailed.
  • A passport-size photograph.
  • They also ask for your sign on the white page and you just have to scan the picture of your sign from Adobe scanner and then convert it into the JPG/ PDF according to the given instructions on the site.

Steps to Download e-PAN Card Via NSDL

When the e-PAN card is processed and generated, applicants will receive it by E-mail. So if they are unable to find that email or have deleted the email without saving the e-PAN card. Now you can directly download it from this NSDL website. So let’s take a look at the steps which are given below.

1. First, you have to visit the NSDL website.

2. And then there will be an option of “Download e-PAN/ e-PAN XML” at the top of the middle of the screen.  You just have to click on that option.

3. And then another new tab will be on your device screen. And then you have to read all the instructions, which you have read it carefully.

4. After that you have an option of Acknowledgment number or Pan you have to choose it wisely.

5. If you will choose the Acknowledgment number, then they will ask you to enter your Acknowledgment number, and date of birth, and then select the language. After that, you have to tick validate reCAPTCHA and then submit it.

6. But if you choose the PAN option then you just have to enter your PAN card number, Aadhaar number, date of birth, and the GSTN is optional, and then select the language. After that, you have to tick validate reCAPTCHA and then submit it.

7. Then they will send you your e-PAN card on your given email ID(which you entered when the PAN card was created) so they will send you your e-PAN card Via E-mail.

Steps to Download e-PAN Card Via UTIITSL

As we have already mentioned how to download the e-PAN card from the NSDL website. But there is also another website which is UTIITSL. According to our records, the UTIITSL website is more complicated to use. But still, you can directly download the e-PAN from the UTIITSL website. So let’s take a look at the steps which is given below.

1. First, you have to visit the UTIITSL website.

2. And then you have to scroll up to find the download e-PAN option and then you have to just click on that option.

3. And then another new tab will be on your device screen. And then you have to read all the instructions, which you have read carefully.

4. After that, you just have to enter your PAN card number, and date of birth, and the GSTIN is optional. After that, you have to enter the CAPTCHA and then submit it.

5. Then they will send you your e-PAN card on your given email ID(which you entered when the PAN card was created) so they will send you your e-PAN card on your E-mail.
